Electricity restored after 7-hour outage
About 2,200 residents of southern Butler County were without electricity for seven hours this morning.
Parker-based Central Electric Cooperative reported the outage occurred after midnight due to equipment failure at a substation in Clinton Township.
Nearly all residents served in Clinton, Middlesex, Jefferson, Penn, West Deer, and Buffalo townships lost power, while other townships had some outages.
Crews repaired the equipment and restored power shortly after 8 a.m.
