Pensions fall behind
The Butler County commissioners are spending taxpayer money like it grows on trees.
The commissioners are giving raises to everybody except the county retirees. We retirees have not had an inflationary adjustment to our pensions since 2008.
My county tax bill keeps going up. From 2008 to 2013, my county taxes increased $142. That might not sound like much, but when utility bills keep going up also, it doesn’t leave much to live on.
The commissioners need to get out of their offices and meet the taxpayers — and also listen to them.
