Rethink Sunnyview
On April 3, my sister suffered a stroke. Sunnyview accepted her for therapy. Paralyzed on her right side, she would not recover to the extent of independence.
I called several nursing homes. No one accepted her because she had no money.
Sunnyview agreed to keep her there. I was so grateful I cried.
I spend a lot of time at Sunnyview and have grown fond of the staff and other patients. She gets excellent care.
There are private nursing homes if you are fortunate enough to have the money, but what about the people who don’t?
This is where I want my tax dollars to go. I pray the commissioners reconsider selling Sunnyview. It’s an asset to our community.
