Beaver Falls eliminates Summit Academy, 50-26

BEAVER FALLS — Summit Academy produced 301 yards of offense Friday night, but dropped its first-ever WPIAL football playoff game by a 50-26 count at Beaver Falls.

The Knights (5-5) fell behind 36-0 before getting on the board in the second quarter. Larry Richardson wound up with 16 carries for 156 yards and two scores in a losing cause.

J'Ron Hill-Phillips threw for 97 yards, including touchdown passes of 66 yards to Lemuel McFadden and 18 yards to Nate Cofer.

Beaver Falls (8-2) quarterback Dan Stratton threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The hosts scored three touchdowns in the first quarter.

Shade 20, A-C Valley 7

The Falcons (0-10) scored their lone touchdown on an Evan Redding pass to Mike Suto.

Suto wound up with two catches for 92 yards and had 11 tackles defensively. Redding completed seven passes for 157 yards.

Hunter Defibaugh contributed eight tackles, a quarterback sack and fumble recovery for A-C Valley.

Cambridge Springs 40, Union 20

The Golden Knights ended the regular season at 4-6 with this loss at home.
