The city of Butler has 54 miles of streets and another 50 miles of alleyways. All of the roadways are maintained by five men and a supervisor.

They do the snow plowing and salting. They maintain the streets in summer by patching potholes, street sweeping, fixing sewer drops and other chores.

But all I ever hear is people complaining about the streets department.

I for one thank them for their outstanding work.
