4:52 p.m. Friday — Zachary Zediker, 19, of Butler was hurt when he lost control of his car and struck a utility pole along Route 8 South near the Picklegate Crossing. Zediker suffered a minor injury but refused medical treatment.3:33 p.m. Friday — Calvin Duehart Jr., 28, of Butler was injured in a three-vehicle wreck on Route 8 South, just north of the Greater Butler Mart.The accident happened when a vehicle driven by Darryl Brown, 62, of Butler slid into the opposing lane and hit a car driven by Lisa Miller, 49, of Slippery Rock. Brown's vehicle spun out and into Duehart's vehicle.Duehart was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital after complaining of pain. Police said Brown was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1:14 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt when a car twice struck a concrete barrier on snow-covered Route 422 just east of the Route 8 North overpass. Kathleen Messer, 53, of Ohio was driving the car. One of her passengers, Melissa McCasland, 37, of Texas, suffered a minor injury.
Wednesday — An arrest warrant was issued for Margaret B. Morrow, 31, of Butler on trafficking charges stemming from a controlled drug buy in Butler last year.Morrow is accused of selling cocaine for $100 to a police informant about 8:30 p.m. March 25 on Monroe Street, according to court documents.She is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
11:35 p.m. Monday — Erik Dubois, 33, of Slippery Rock was arrested after allegedly pushing and choking 33-year-old Dana Martin of Slippery Rock in an altercation on Smith Road in West Liberty. Police said Dubois was placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment on charges of simple assault and harassment.12:26 p.m. Monday — Two people were injured when cars they were driving collided on Route 68 in Fairview Township. Lisa A. Williams, 37, of Karns City and Terry A. Foringer, 36, of Bruin were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Police said Williams was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.10:50 a.m. Monday — James F. Thompson, 21, of West Sunbury lost control of his car and struck an embankment on Route 138 just west of Bell Road in Washington Township. Police said Thompson was cited for driving too fast for conditions.9:56 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Donald L. Black, 56, of Chicora slid on the snow and hit an embankment on East Slippery Road just south of Storgis Lane in Donegal Township. Police said Black was cited for driving too fast for conditions.9 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Michelle L. Swigart, 18, of Butler traveled up an embankment and rolled onto its roof after sliding off snow-covered Old East Butler Road just east of Davis Road in Oakland Township. Police said Swigart was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4:46 a.m. Monday — Trisha A. Wissinger, 28, of West Sunbury was hurt when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle and crashed into a tree along Route 308 in Clay Township. Wissinger, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.1:20 p.m. Friday — A Mercer County man suffered moderate injuries when the SUV he was driving crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its side on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Edward F. Waters, 66, of Jackson Center, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh.Police said Waters was cited for driving at an unsafe speed, driving with faulty tires and a seat belt violation.
10:30 a.m. Monday — Theresa A. Atkins, 39, of New Castle lost control of her minivan on slush and ice, struck a ditch and embankment, hit a culvert and rolled onto its side at Frew Mill Road and Cow Path Lane in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.9:50 a.m. Monday — Dixie L. Bonanni, 61, of Grove City suffered serious injuries when the car she was driving crashed into a tree after hitting a mailbox and guardrail on Route 208, just west of Byler Lane in Wilmington Township. Bonanni, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the car.Police said they found her lying in a yard along the road. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio.8 p.m. Jan. 20 — A car driven by Nathan J. McKee, 30, of Slippery Rock struck a traffic sign and large rock on the side of Route 19 just north of Frew Mill Road in Scott Township. Police said McKee was cited for a lane violation.
