Water effort a success

Regarding the fundraiser to provide residents of the Connoquenessing Woodlands area with drinking water:
In addition to a $3,900 check, $402 in cash was turned over to the Water for Woodlands representative, the Rev. Lee Dreyer, from Marcellus Outreach Butler. The additional amount was collected at a Jan. 5 concert by musician Mike Stout at a Southside Pittsburgh cafe.
Stout, known for his song “Stop the Frack Attack,” made an onstage plea on behalf of the water drive.
The additional money brought the total raised to more than $4,300.
Marcellus Outreach Butler was delighted with the results and is most grateful to all who participated, contributed or otherwise helped make the fundraiser a success.
