Rimersburg teen dies in crash Tuesday morning



EAST BRADY TWP, Armstrong County — A 17-year-old boy from Rimersburg died Tuesday morning after the car he was driving veered into oncoming traffic on Route 68.
A report by state police, who are investigating the crash, did not identify the teen, but stated that he was not wearing a seatbelt when his 2003 PT Cruiser, headed west, crossed into the east-bound lane of Route 68 and struck a vehicle head-on about 7 a.m.
The young man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Armstrong County coroner. The police report did not identify the second vehicle, its occupants, or their medical conditions.
Police were assisted by volunteer firefighters from the East Brady and Sugar Creek departments as well as Sugar Creek EMS.
