Seven Fields to set up ice skating rink
SEVEN FIELDS — The borough will soon have a portable outdoor ice rink in the park after borough council Monday night approved its purchase.
Borough manager Tom Smith expects the rink to be delivered by the end of December, although he’s not sure if it will be in place by Christmas.
Council voted to buy the rink for no more than $3,500.
It is nearly 2,000 square feet and will hold 4,000 gallons of water.
“I think it’s going to set us out as a really unique community,” councilwoman Jennifer Sikora said. “I don’t know of any other community around here that has this.”
