Michelle Crevar’s Jan. 16 letter to the editor, “Parking only for moms,” begged people to honor the “new and expectant mother” signs.

I have two thoughts on that.

First, my mother had seven kids, and I never heard her complain about inconvenient parking.

Second, inevitably there will be confrontation on which one is “more” pregnant, therefore more deserving of the parking space.

In retrospect, having to walk a few extra feet to a store fades in comparison with the things she will experience raising a child from highchair to high school.

Therefore, she better learn to take things in stride, and not resort to things like playing the pregnancy card on a whim.
