Mobile farmers market to launch
Community Partnership Inc. is starting a mobile farmers market called the Produce Cart in spring.
The market will visit communities that lack a full-service grocery store in their downtown corridors. Locally grown and/or sourced products will be carried whenever possible. The market will have regularly scheduled stops at locations in each community that are convenient for customers who may drive or walk to shop each week. The Produce Cart will accept Fresh Bucks (in Butler County), Food Bucks, SNAP/EBT and cash/card payments.
The partnership and Penn State Extension developed a survey to learn what produce to provide through the mobile farmers market. The survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KHYDYNS from Oct. 25 until Nov. 25.
