Construction on BC3 Armstrong to kick off Friday
Butler County Community College officials will break ground in Ford City Friday to begin construction on a new facility in Armstrong County.
A news release from BC3 said the new building will consist of four classrooms, a multipurpose room, a natural science laboratory, student meeting space and staff and faculty offices, and replace a five-year-old college facility in Manor Township to accommodate growing enrollment in Armstrong County.
Officials from several of these organizations and BC3, elected local and state officials and several donors to the project will speak at the groundbreaking Friday. It will be at 2 p.m. at 1100 Fourth Avenue in Ford City, the site of the former Ford City Junior-Senior High School.
