Slippery Rock firefighters rescue one from flaming vehicle
The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company rescued one person early Tuesday morning from a crash in which the driver was trapped in a flaming vehicle.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 1:35 a.m. to the one-vehicle crash on the 500-block of Centreville Pike, Slippery Rock Township.
According to firefighters, they arrived on scene to find an overturned vehicle with the driver still inside and flames creeping over the vehicle.
The individual was removed and the fire extinguished in about 10 minutes, firefighters said.
The patient was then transported by Butler Ambulance to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
