Hunter Truck fire may be result of malfunction
The owners of Hunter Truck are planning to rebuild its body and collision shop on Oneida Valley Road after a fire took out two of its garages April 16.
Nancy Hunter Mycka, senior vice president of Hunter Truck, said members of the company believe a truck in a garage malfunctioned and sparked the initial fire. The fire escalated by spreading to paint and paint thinners located in the garage, which caused a lot of structural damage.
In addition to the structure, Hunter Mycka said the supplies in the affected garages will likely account for a big loss as well.
