Nicholas and Carole Toubakaris

Nicholas and Carole Toubakaris of Butler marked 50 years of marriage in Athens, Greece.

They plan to celebrate their 51st anniversary with family later.

The Toubakarises married on Feb. 20, 1970, at St. Luke’s Church in Athens, Greece.

They have three children, Jennifer Scimone of Coudersport, Michael Karis of Ada, Okla., and Christina Lozier of Windemere, Fla.

They also have five grandchildren.

The Toubakarises are retired.

They are members of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in New Castle.
