We still have the freedom to attend events such as God Bless America, a Judeo-Christian celebration of revival and the freedom in word and song on Oct. 10.

I left my house early to make sure I had a seat. I was totally surprised that only a handful of Butler attended. I would say about 50 people, and I was one of them.

When people of faith have a chance to support an event like this and don’t come, what does it say to people who don’t know the Lord? Are we in Butler who call ourselves Christian just people who go to church and it ends there?

The speakers were tremendous. The music was great. What an opportunity we as Christians (real Christians) had on Saturday to testify to our faith.

As someone told me, the people in this county are spirituality blind and spirituality deaf.

People in other countries such as Africa, would come by the thousands.

People, you lost out on a big blessing.

God bless the U.S.A.

Alana Dec, Lyndora
