Glenn Beck to interview Butler attorney Tom King
UPDATE: The interview has been moved to Sept. 21, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
Butler attorney Tom King will be a guest Thursday morning on the nationally syndicated Glenn Beck radio show.
King will discuss Monday's opinion handed down in federal court in Pittsburgh that ruled the orders issued by Gov. Tom Wolf closing nonessential businesses and restricting the size of gatherings to protect against the spread of COVID-19 were unconstitutional.
He is to be on the air beginning at 10:34 a.m.
King, of the firm Dillon McCandless King Coulter & Graham LLP, was the lead attorney representing the the plaintiffs in the complaint, which included Butler, Fayette, Greene and Washington counties, four Republican lawmakers and several small businesses.
The Wolf administration's pandemic policies have been overreaching and arbitrary and violated citizens' constitutional rights, U.S. District Judge William Stickman IV wrote in his 66-page opinion.
The state attorney general's office on Wednesday filed motions to stay the ruling and to certify the issue for appeal.
"We'll be vigorously opposing both (motions)," King said.
