Karen and Ronald Thompson

Ronald and Karen Thompson of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage later because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thompson married the former Karen Geibel on July 18, 1970, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Sugar Creek.

They have two children, Michelle Lorenz of Butler and Amy Thompson of Tampa, Fla.

They also have two grandchildren.

Thompson worked for Pullman Standard and the Butler Area School District.

Mrs. Thompson worked for Moonlight Mushrooms and the Butler Area Sewer Authority.
