SLIPPERY ROCK — The U.S. Postal Service is hosting a Passport Fair on Jan. 22 at the post office, 400 S. Main St., where people can apply for passports without scheduling an appointment.

The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is one of many being held in January at post offices across Western Pennsylvania. People must take the required documentation and fee to the fairs.

In addition to attending a fair, people can schedule appointments to apply for passports through the postal service’s recently launched Retail Customer Appointment Scheduler tool at www.usps.com/scheduler.
