Students collect gifts for Passavant
JACKSON TWP — Seventh-grade students at Ryan Gloyer Middle School recently donated more than 500 items for gifts for the residents of Passavant Nursing Home in Zelienople in Zelienople.
More than 50 members of the school’s Tiger Team recently stayed after school to deliver the donated items.
“It was an incredible experience for everyone,” said Jessica Phillips, a middle school health teacher. “The smiles on the faces of the residents and our students were priceless.”
While donating gifts, students also visited with residents to spread holiday cheer by playing music, singing carols and performing skits and dance routines.
“It truly captured the magic of the season,” Phillips said.
