The Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian church Festival Choir and Orchestra practiced this week for the church's upcoming Christmas cantata concert.

SAXONBURG — Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church will host its 2019 Christmas Cantata at 7 p.m. Saturday inside the newer church building facing Main Street, located at 100 W. Main St.

The community is invited to hear the sounds of Christmas as the SMPC Festival Choir and Orchestra welcomes attendees in the spirit of the holidays.

The concert is the church's gift to the community, said Dan Byerly, director of music ministry for the church. The last Christmas concert hosted by Saxonburg Memorial was in 2016.

This is an excerpt from a story appearing in Friday's Butler Eagle.
