Arrest warrant issued for woman accused of assaulting an officer
A bench warrant was issued Monday for a Butler woman accused of squirting a brown liquid out of a syringe at a city police officer after she failed to appear for a court hearing.
Kristina Labruna, 28, was arrested and placed in Butler County Prison on Nov. 6 after Butler City Police said she pointed a syringe at an officer and squirted a substance on the officer's face and one of his ears.
She was released the next day after posting $5,000 bail.
District Judge William Fullerton issued the arrest warrant Monday when Labruna didn't appear for her preliminary hearing. Labruna doesn't have a lawyer listed, according to court documents.
Labruna is charged with a felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police reported recovering the syringe, a suboxone strip and several empty bags they suspect were used to package heroin following Labruna's arrest.
