SLIPPERY ROCK — The third Slippery Rock University student wanted in connection with a suspected strong-armed robbery at an off-campus housing complex last week, has turned himself in.

Accompanied by his attorney, 21-year-old Troy L. Moon appeared Wednesday morning at the office of District Judge Bill O’Donnell in Slippery Rock.

O’Donnell arraigned Moon of Slippery Rock on two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of robbery, one count of reckless endangerment, one count of theft by unlawful taking, one count of theft by receiving stolen property and one count of assault.

Troopers placed him in handcuffs following arraignment and took him to the Butler County Prison, where he’s being held on $250,000 bond.

Moon’s co-defendants — Xavier A. Brown, 21, and Duy G. Nguyen, 22, both of Slippery Rock — have been in the county prison on similar bond since Nov. 8 when police arrested them in the alleged robbery earlier that day at the Grove Apartments in Slippery Rock Township.
