John A. Lestyk
With precious memories of my husband,
John A. Lestyk, who was born into Eternal Life eighteen years ago today, October 10, 2001.
My dear Mouse,
Eighteen years have come and gone,
Sweet memories of you
Fill my heart with tender thoughts
Of things we used to do.
You were my first love way back then,
When I was just a bride.
We shared the best times way back when,
How we enjoyed the ride!
But then one day God call you Home,
He said your work was through.
He blessed you with your great reward.
But what was I to do?
I struggled on without you,
So many friends to guide me.
But life was not worth living,
Without you here beside me.
It seems God had a different plan,
I never would have guessed,
He chose another special man,
With whom I have been blessed.
And I believe you’re smiling,
As you stand on Heaven’s shore.
I wonder if it was your prayer
That gave me love once more.
‘Cause all throughout our married life,
You did all you could do
To fill my world with happiness,
To make my dreams come true.
And now, sweet Mouse, I hope you know,
Wherever I may be.
A part of you will always glow
Within a part of me.
