Tours of Preston Park, including the residence and the grounds, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 19 and Nov. 30. Admission is free, but registration is required and spaces are limited. Tours can also be specially arranged for groups.

Nautical Nature pontoon boat at Moraine State Park has scheduled 1½-hour cruises on Lake Arthur every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 26. The 37-passenger, enclosed pontoon boat takes off at 1 and 3 p.m. from the McDanel's Launch on the North Shore. Tickets are available at the Owlet Gift shop. McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, just over the county line into Lawrence County off Route 422, has the historic gristmill open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays through late October. Free tours are given at 1 and 2 p.m.A Star Party, sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, will begin about 7 p.m. Saturday, weather permitting, at the Nicholas E.
