Roethlisberger out for the season due to elbow injury
Veteran Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is out for the rest of the season following an elbow injury in Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
According to a statement released Monday morning from Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, “Roethlisberger had an MRI on his right elbow Sunday evening, and it was determined by the Steelers' medical team that surgery will be required.”
He added that Roethlisberger is out for the season.
The statement said the surgery is expected to be scheduled for this week.
