Single-car crash sends one to hospital

A vehicle crashed into a retaining wall before skipping into a ditch on Friday, Aug. 16, at the loop-around at the end of New Castle Road in Butler Township.

BUTLER TWP — One person was sent to a hospital after a single-vehicle accident on New Castle Road at about 6 p.m. on Friday.

Butler Township police said a coupe crashed into a retaining wall before skipping into a ditch at the loop-around at the end of New Castle Road, near Valley Lines.

The car sustained heavy front-end damage.

The driver was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. There were no passengers.
