SAXONBURG — Junk to Joy, an annual two-day yard sale, is 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, rain or shine, in Centennial Hall, 110 State St., at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Proceeds benefit the church's Anniversary Appeal, a capital fund campaign coinciding with St. Luke's 150th anniversary.
Donations are still being accepted (no electronics, TVs or computers).

PROSPECT — The Prospect Community Library is joining with the Evans City and Slippery Rock Community libraries to host “Solar Quest,” a program presented by Carnegie Science Center at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Prospect Firehall.The program, which is free and open to the public, is part of Prospect library's “Universe of Stories” summer reading program. Fifty adults and 180 children are participating. The program focuses on the 50th anniversary of the United States landing on the moon.The reading program opened with an “egg-tronaut” event June 7 where children participated in an egg-drop. A movie and game night is planned 6 to 8 p.m. July 24 for preteens and teens. PLAIN GROVE TWP, Lawrence County — There will be a rabies clinic from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Plain Grove Township Building, 1029 Plain Grove Road.The clinic for cats and dogs will only give rabies shots.
