SLIPPERY ROCK — The Butler County Community College golf team won the Region XX Tournament Tuesday at Oakview Golf Club.
The Pioneers tallied 670 for the 36-hole event, finishing 16 strokes in front of Anne Arundel. Tucker Skerbetz carded a 159 to finish second among individual golfers. Carmen Oliva finished fifth with a 164, A-C Valley graduate Noah Morgan 10th with a 172.
BC3 will compete in the Division III National Championships June 2-7 at the Chautauqua Golf Club in New York.
YOUNGSTOWN — Knoch graduate Dylan Swarmer, a freshman catcher on the Youngstown State baseball team, has been named to the Horizon League's All-Freshman Team.Swarmer hit .247 with two homers and 12 RBI. He hit three triples and caught 10 runners trying to steal.
