Two-year-old Cora Murtha of Butler, above, and 3-year-old Adalyn Knapp of Cranberry Township, below, celebrate with about 35 children and 20 adults at a Fancy Nancy tea party Saturday at the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St. “Fancy Nancy is a popular character that is seeing a resurgence in popularity since Disney Jr. started running a show about her,” said Tiffany Harkleroad, the children's librarian. “She's been a book character for years, famous for being, well, fancy.” For the tea party in Nancy's honor, Harkleroad said participants dressed up in their fanciest duds, read stories, had refreshments, and completed a craft project.
