Woman charged with having heroin, crack cocaine
Butler police Monday arrested a Center Township woman stemming from an October traffic stop during which officers allegedly found her with suspected heroin and crack cocaine.
Heather A. Kuhrt, 34, is free on her own recognizance while awaiting a preliminary hearing Dec. 31 on felony and misdemeanor drug possession charges.
Police said “numerous calls of drug activity” on the 300 block of First Street about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 22 led them to Kuhrt. She was found riding in a vehicle that was reportedly seen in the area where police had gotten the drug complaints.
Officers found her with a syringe, according to court documents. She also admitted having other contraband and turned over a pill bottle that she had in her pants.
The bottle, police said, had six capsules that contained suspected heroin and 12 individually wrapped bags containing suspected crack.
