A-C Valley hiring police officers
FOXBURG, Clarion County — The Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District could have its first school police officers before the end of the year.
School board members voted to accept a grant to cover salaries and advertise for two officers, who will be to have experience as Pennsylvania state troopers.
The board accepted a $37,635 Safe Schools Targeted School Police Officer Grant and approved advertising the two full-time positions, which they hope to fill in November, Superintendent David McDeavitt said.
