Window tips over in wind, makes mess at courthouse
The trapezoid outline of a large tinted window that crashed onto West Diamond Street could still be seen on Tuesday before being swept off the sidewalk by John Campbell, the county director of facilities and maintenance.
Workers placing the windows in the overhead walkway between the courthouse and government center earlier in the day had leaned the extra windows against the back of the courthouse when they finished their workday on Tuesday.
Campbell surmised the wind took one of the huge windows down. The mess will be contained by the county's night shift workers and removed by the window contractor.
