Man facing charges for selling fentanyl
CRANBERRY TWP — A township man is facing felony drug charges after a series of controlled buys earlier this year.
Matthew G. Banyas, 23, faces charges stemming from a series of incidents in January.
According to the criminal complaint, a confidential informant told officers on Jan. 22 that Banyas had allegedly offered to sell 10 bags of fentanyl for $150.
The informant met Banyas at a gas station in the township, and exchanged the money for 13 bags allegedly containing fentanyl.
Later that month, the informant allegedly purchased additional bags at the same location.
Banyas was arraigned Thursday.
