'The Wiz' takes stage on weekend at Cardinal Wuerl
CRANBERRY TWP — Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School will present the musical “The Wiz” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the high school auditorium, 1617 Route 228.
Tickets are $8 at TicketLeap.com or $12 at the door.
Beth Young is the director/producer.
“The Wiz” is a modern, upbeat version of the traditional story, “The Wizard of Oz.”
It stays true to Frank Baum's tale of Dorothy and her trip to the land of Oz, where she meets and befriends three unusual characters: a Scarecrow, a Tin Man, and a Lion. They travel together to meet the Wizard of Oz, hoping that he can give them what they are seeking.
