Winfield Twp. bridge to be replaced
WINFIELD TWP — Motorists traveling on Winfield Road between Cornplanter and Clearfield roads will face daytime, single-lane restrictions as the bridge over Rough Run is replaced.
The state Department of Transportation announced the project on Friday.
Work is expected to begin this week.
Flaggers will control traffic until temporary signals are in place. The signals will remain until the project is complete.
Brayman Construction of Saxonburg is the contractor for the $2.5 million bridge replacement project, which is expected to be complete sometime in November.
PennDOT cautions motorists to slow down and use caution in work zones to avoid accidents and worker injury. Fines are doubled in work zones.
Congestion and delays are expected during the project.
