Karen J. Famielec
Karen J. Famielec, 68, of Butler passed away on Tuesday at her residence.
She was born May 8, 1949, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Eugene Howard Winder and the late Mary Russo Winder.
Karen graduated from Knoch High School and she was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Karen worked many years as an optician and as a cosmetologist, who formerly owned Super Hair and was currently working at New Haven Court.
She was an animal lover. Karen leaves behind her cherished fur babies, her dogs Reeko and Charlie; her cats, Percy and Fuzzy; and her bird, Ollie.
She liked gardening and especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Tricia (Jonathan) Romett of Butler; two grandchildren, Julia and Landon Romett; one sister, Donna (Joe) Magyar; one niece, Stacy Matoka; two nephews, Rick (Carrie) Haskin and Paul (Dottie) Kalchthaler; and one great-nephew, Tanner Grosick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Famielec, whom she married on Oct. 15, 1966, and who passed away on Sept. 5, 2016.
FAMIELEC — Friends of Karen J. Famielec, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
