JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley Foundation and Randy Hart, a Seneca Valley alumnus and retired educator, recently named Seneca Valley School District elementary and secondary staff mini grants winners.

The grants are $500 each and were awarded based on the applicant’s plan to enrich curriculum and/or provide students with additional learning opportunities.

The recipients and their grant titles are:

Bria Koch and Kelly McDonald, both at Rowan Elementary School, “Lights, Camera, Action!”

Sandy Thompson, Evans City Elementary School, “Osmo Coding and Creative Thinking”

Steve Wolfe, Seneca Valley Senior High School, “All the Rage”

Steve Fortunato, Seneca Valley Senior High School, “Women in Engineering”

Anita Hershberger, Rowan Elementary School, “Vocabulary Word Heroes”

Victoria Hinchee, Haine Middle School, “Flexible Seating to Support Individual Student Learning Needs”

Natalie Ranalli, Evans City Elementary, “Flexible Seating for First Grade”

Christine Roe and Joan Widdowson, both at Haine Middle School, “Developing Mindfulness Through Yoga in the Classroom”

Lisa Tyson, Seneca Valley Middle School, “While I Live, A Portrait of Student Wishes”

Bruce Clark, Seneca Valley Senior High School, “A New Perspective”
