Decorating the church for Christmas is Dec. 2. Poinsettia plants will be in the sanctuary for the first Sunday of Advent, Dec. 3. An order form for plants is in the church bulletin.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main Ext., hangs greens for Christmas after Sunday’s worship service.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, has Women’s Fellowship Luncheon Dec. 2. The event includes keynote speaker Melissa Goodman, a shopping mall with vendors and door prizes. The luncheon is free but includes an offering for South Butler County Meals on Wheels. GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

The office at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., is closed Thursday and Friday.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Linda Grigor, the Tom Walker Family, Lyric Sessa and Beth Ackelson will provide special music during the Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The vocal choir of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., rehearses at 9 a.m. and sings at worship on Christ The King Sunday.

The Hanging of the Greens is at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

New or gently used mittens, caps, jackets, sweaters scarves, gloves and socks as donations for the “Keep Me Warm” project should be placed on a tree in the overflow room or fellowship hall.

Orders for poinsettias to decorate the chancel are due Dec. 3. Order forms are on the deacon’s table.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

There is no choir practice Thursday at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars.

The church collects gifts for the Lighthouse Foundation’s Christmas Toy Shoppe until Dec. 16. For more information, check the flier in the lobby.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., has hanging of the greens and a light lunch of pizza and soda after Sunday worship. There is no Sunday School.

In conjunction with the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots, the congregation is collecting unwrapped toys for needy children in the community. Deposit donations in the collection box in the narthex.

The Christmas Cookie Walk and Alternative Gift Fair is Dec. 9. To bake cookies and help, sign up in the narthex, see Kendra Mulneix or call the church office at 724-287-4777.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

The office at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., is closed Thursday and Friday. Regular office hours resume Monday.

The Rev. Storm leads all services this weekend. All services include Holy Communion.

The bell choir and sanctuary choir do not meet in the coming week.

ST. PAUL ROMAN CATHOLIC

St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., celebrates Mass in Spanish at 2 p.m. Sunday.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

The office at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, is closed Friday.

Worship and music ministry meets at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 29.
