Colorado men plead guilty to Buffalo Twp. gun incident

Two Colorado men charged with firing a handgun from a pickup truck pleaded guilty and were sentenced in Butler County Court on Monday.

David Castro Estrada, 28, of Commerce City, Colorado, and Juan A. Rodriguez Carbajal, 25, of Brighton, Colorado, entered guilty pleas before Butler County Judge William Shaffer.

The two were charged alongside Felix Reyes-Balderas, 31, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, after an incident on June 12, 2016.

The Buffalo Township Police Department charged the men after an officer on patrol saw a vehicle swerving on Route 356 near the True Value. Moments later, police said a gunshot was heard.

The vehicle was pulled over and all three men were arrested.

No one was reported injured.

A full report will appear in the Butler Eagle.
