Father, son arrested for theft
Adams Township police arrested a father-son crime duo after they were caught on video stealing tools worth thousands of dollars.
Robert Eugene Kline, 51, and Robert Aaron Kline, 27, both of Valencia, are charged with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy.
Police responded to a call from the victim, Tim Waldrop, who said he had it all on tape.
“Waldrop checked the cameras and saw two known actors removing tools from inside the open garage doors,” arresting officer detective Mike Bailey said in his report.
He identified Robert Eugene Kline as one of the thieves.
“I interviewed Robert Kline Sr.,” Bailey said. “After being presented with the trail cam photos, he admitted his involvement in the theft.
“He admitted being a heroin user and using as much as he could get per day,” Bailey said.
Kline was then interviewed and though he initially denied his involvement, ultimately confessed to taking the tools.
A full report will appear in the Butler Eagle.
