Police investigate possible bank robbery
FRANKLIN TWP — State police were called to investigate a possible bank robbery that happened late this afternoon.
The First National Bank on Route 422 in the township was reportedly robbed by a man.
Police units around the county were alerted by a 911 dispatcher to be on the lookout for the suspect who was described as a white male, 6 feet tall with a slim build who is around 25 years old. He was described as wearing a gray T-shirt, a red and white hat, camouflage pants and he had a sleeve tattoo. He reportedly did not show a weapon to bank employees, but handed over a letter demanding money.
It was unknown if he left the area in a vehicle or if he made away with any money.
Police at the bank declined to immediately comment about the investigation.
