McElravy named rodeo queen
NORTH WASHINGTON — The North Washington Rodeo has crowned Faith McElravy as the 2017 North Washington Rodeo Queen.
Faith, 17, is from North Washington, where she resides on her grandparents' farm with her family.
She attends Moniteau High School, where she will be a senior in the fall. After high school, she plans to become a veterinarian.
Faith has been riding horses for six years and currently rides a Tennessee Walker named Snowman.
In addition to her equine activities, Faith has been active with the National Honor Society and Relay for Life. She also shows Nigerian Dwarf goats with the Caprine Connection 4-H Club in Butler County.
Faith is looking forward to spending the summer representing the North Washington Rodeo and North Washington Volunteer Fire Department at local parades, fairs, events and rodeos.
The 2017 North Washington Rodeo week will kick off with a parade Aug. 14. The rodeo will take place Aug. 15 to 19 at the North Washington Rodeo grounds on Route 38.
