ALLIANCE, Ohio — Corianne Hyduchak of Grove City was inducted into the University of Mount Union chapter of Tau Pi Phi.

Tau Pi Phi, an honorary for business-related majors, recognizes academic achievement.

NATRONA HEIGHTS — Logan Lindey, a sophomore at St. Joseph High School, was accepted to the 2017 Constitutional Academy with a full scholarship from the Bill of Rights Institute.

The program attracts students nationwide to Washington, D.C., where participants develop their understanding of American politics. They discuss critical issues, interact with scholars, policymakers and thought leaders, and visit historically significant sites in the Washington area.

Lindey is the son of LaVerne and Patricia Lindey of Butler and attends St. Fidelis Parish.

Johnstown — The Challenge Program distributed financial incentive awards to seniors at Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School for excelling in attendance, STEM, community service, academic improvement and academic excellence.

The recipients are Carley Patten for academic excellence, Andrew Henry for academic improvement, Victoria Voelp for community service, Jackson Craig for STEM and Blake Underwood for attendance.

XTO Energy sponsors The Challenge Program at the votech.
