Man charged with homicide

Joshua Greaves, who was charged Monday with homicide, is escorted into District Judge William Fullerton's office Monday morning.

A couple allegedly found in a homicide victim's car were charged Monday in relation to the death of a Kittanning man whose body was found in a wooded area in Concord Township in April.

Joshua K. Greaves, 34, of Mercer, Mercer County, is facing the charge of criminal homicide in the death of Gregory W. Bosko, 55.

Greaves is also facing several related charges, including felony robbery, robbery of a motor vehicle, theft, receiving stolen property, hindering apprehension, misdemeanor receiving stolen property, abuse of a corpse and conspiracy counts to all.

Tiffany Hilliard, 30, of Butler, who was allegedly with Greaves at the time they were arrested, was charged with all the same counts, save for the homicide charge.

The two were arrested March 24 after allegedly being found in Bosko's vehicle in the 300 block of West Wayne Street. Greaves, Hilliard and an unnamed 29-year-old Butler woman, who has not been charged in relation to the case, were found in the vehicle by Butler city police, who responded to a suspicious vehicle call after a report of people possibly doing drugs in a car.

Greaves and Hilliard were arrested after they gave bogus names to police, and once identified, both were found to be wanted on bench warrants. Greaves was also allegedly found in possession of three stamp bags of heroin.

Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges more than a month after Bosko's body was found off Redbud Road on April 1. Bosko was reported missing on March 20, and was last seen driving on West Cunningham Street in the city of Butler, according to his family.

Butler County Coroner William Young III ruled the death a homicide. He said the cause of death was “sharp trauma of the neck,” and that the man's throat had been slit “multiple times.”
