Vendor, craft show benefits preschoolEVANS CITY — Westminster Church Preschool, 330 E. Main St., will host a vendor craft show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.The event will include independent business vendors for jewelry, clothing, accessories, gourmet food, books, gutter covers and cleaning products. The show also will include handmade gifts of soap, signs, crocheted items, ornaments, lotions, candles, bath salts and hand sanitizer, among other items.There will be a basket auction and a concession stand as well.Admission is free. All proceeds benefit the Westminster Church Preschool.

Santa will visit park for breakfastBUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department and Butler Township will host a breakfast with Santa from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Butler Township Park building, 468 S. Duffy Road.The breakfast is for toddlers and children through age 10.Registration is required. Prospect Library slates activitiesPROSPECT — The Prospect Library, 357 N. Main St., will have two special events in December:8 p.m. Dec. 15, Inquire Within: A kick-off party will include crafts, a viewing of the “Wild Kratts Creature Christmas,” cocoa and cookies. Children can wear pajamas.1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 28, annual Lego competition: The event will be at the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, 115 Church St. The library will supply the Legos.Notices of local upcoming news should be received by the Community Department one week in advance of the event.
