The annual Alameda Park Trick N’ Treats, hosted by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department at the Masonic Shelter, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday and include a scavenger hunt, small pumpkin painting and a campfire. Each registered child will get a hot dog, popcorn and beverage. Admission is $9. Registration is available by calling 724-284-5383.

Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will present Homeschool CSI: BirdSleuth/Project FeederWatch on Nov. 8. Trails are open from sunrise to sunset.

A dark sky party sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will begin, weather permitting, at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, Frazier Township, Allegheny County. Call 724-224-2510.
