Safe Sitter training setThe Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will offer the Safe Sitter baby-sitter’s training from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 8 at Alameda Park House, 184 Alameda Road.The class, for 11- to 15-year-olds, will stress prevention, safety, responsibility, leadership and professionalism.Registration is required. Christian school sets vendor eventPORTERSVILLE — Portersville Christian School, 343 E. Portersville Road, will host more than 40 vendors for a fall event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 8.There also will be an auction, concessions and free admission.

Authors coming to Foxburg libraryFOXBURG, Clarion County — The Foxburg Free Library, 31 Main St., will host eight authors from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 9 during the Foxburg Fall Festival.Each hour, starting at 11 a.m., authors will give talks in the library’s children’s room. ‘Woofstock’ offers animals to adopt“WOOFSTOCK … an afternoon of Peace, Love, Music and Animals” will be from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 15 at Schnoodleberry Farm, 829 Rockdale Road.There will be music all day, vendors, a silent auction and animal adoptions.
