A Parker man, charged with assaulting two girls during the past two years, is jailed on $500,000 bail.

On Wednesday, state police in Butler filed charges, including rape, against Lawrence Lee Everetts, 48, of 103 Taylor Road.

Everetts reportedly assaulted the two girls in different locations in Butler County, beginning when they were 14 and 11 years old, respectively, according to court documents.

The girls are not being identified because they are juveniles and due to the nature of the allegations.

The 14-year-old victim, when interviewed at the Butler County Alliance for Children, said the first time Everetts allegedly touched her was when she was at a home in Bruin sometime before Christmas in 2015, according to court records.

The girl said she fell asleep in the bottom bunk of a bed and woke up because she felt something touching her leg. Her underwear and shorts were pulled off and on the floor, and Everetts was assaulting her, according to court records.

The girl alleges she told Everetts to stop, but he said “no.” He later stopped when he heard someone walking up the stairs, the victim told authorities.

The girl alleges another incident occurred a month later at Everetts’ home. The victim told authorities she was asleep on the couch when she woke up as Everetts was assaulting her.

The girl alleged that when she tried to push Everetts away, he grabbed the back of the couch to pull himself closer, court documents said. She told him to stop, but he did not.

In another incident the victim alleges she was in the backseat of a car, with Everetts driving, when he allegedly reached into the backseat and touched her inappropriately under the guise of looking for his coat, court documents said.

Court records say the younger girl, when interviewed by Butler County Alliance for Children, described a situation when Everetts asked her if he could touch her, and court records say the girl had been too afraid to say no.

Everetts reportedly touched her under her clothes before telling her to lay down. He then exposed himself to the victim, court records said. The girl said this happened between six and 10 times with Everetts.

District Judge Sue Haggerty on Wednesday arraigned Everetts on charges of rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child and aggravated indecent assault. He also was arraigned on two counts each of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.

Everetts is being held at the Butler County Prison.

His preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 16.
