Jessica Anderson

Jessica K. “Jess” Anderson, 31, of Prospect passed away Monday at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh after a brief illness.

She was born May 10, 1985, in Pittsburgh, to Ronald L. Anderson and Susan (Yost) Anderson.

Jess grew up loving to go to the family cabin and spending time with her grandpa and grandma. She graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 2004. Jess participated in varsity soccer and softball. She enjoyed fishing, boating and outdoor activities.

Jess was always ready to reach out to help anyone in need; to her, everyone was a friend who needed a hug. Her greatest gift was her wonderful personality and her love for people. Jess could make anyone laugh on their worst day.

Jess was the co-manager at Appalachian Trails.

In addition to her parents, Jess is survived by her sister, Jennifer Michel and her husband, Tim, of Grove City; one niece, Abriella Michel, who she adored and loved and played with for countless hours; and her boyfriend and best friend, Ryan Roth of East Butler.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold Yost, Elizabeth Yost, Leonard Anderson and Eunice Anderson.

ANDERSON — As per the wishes of Jessica K. “Jess” Anderson, who died Monday, July 25, 2016, there will be no public visitation.Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 6 p.m. Friday at the Gruenwald Cemetery, Bonniebrook Road, Butler, with the Rev. Barbara Love, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, Harmony, officiating.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral, 124 E.
